And a big thank-you to everyone involved in the creative process from this time, and for sharing in this experience…
As stated in the retrospective, blue wall got it’s start in 1988, when we built a recording studio in a building within 100 feet of the Little Five Points Pub. In 1988, the Pub had already established itself as one of the premier performing venues for local artists, developing their sound, their music and their fan base which eventually led to major recording contracts for many of these groups, The Indigo Girls, Michelle Malone & Drag The River, Follow For Now, Insane Jane, Kristen Hall (Sugarland), hollyfaith and others. And blue wall was there, from the beginning, providing multi-track live recordings from the Pub’s stage to our own recording studio, on the other side of the alley in Little Five Points. Over time, blue wall developed its own studio space and worked closely with more than 200 projects, including The B-52’s, Medeski, Martin & Wood, The Johnny O’Neal Trio, Grady Cousins, Belloluna, the subdudes, Billy “Willy” Harreld III, Clark Vreeland, and many more. And now, almost 30 years later, we’re setting up shop in Paris, looking to create a community of artists, educators and entrepreneurs based in music for all types of media, live performance and production. blue wall PARIS looks to become the next premier recording and live broadcast experience in Paris.

In the studio, or on stage, blue wall promotes the exchange and the dynamic which takes place whenever the performance is shared with a live audience.
New & Old Technologies
That is to say that we embrace new technologies and ways of working but we also find value in the quality of sound from the days of working with analogue tape and vinyl – we support the artists’ choice.
ETHOS - Education Online
blue wall is directly connected to the ETHOS platform, making education a priority in this community.
We invite artists, educators, directors, producers, video game developers, musicians, composers, and entrepreneurs to join us for interviews, masterclasses and workshops.
Live broadcasts via the internet include audio and video, providing live interaction between performers and the audience, wherever you happen to be with your internet connection.
We promote exchange and collaboration within the blue wall community and look forward to the prospect of working closely with FACE, Coax Collectif, ElectricNews and others to develop this network for artists and educators.
